Bolton was another Home Shopping project for Asda, representing a good example of a store using all three different dot com facilities from one location. This new build home shopping ‘pod’ unit included a chiller and freezer, which HBCL built, incorporating weatherproof canopy with 150/175mm thick PIR walls along with various hygienic doors.

The panels were utilised in such a way to not only preserve the rooms temperature and hygiene requirements, but also to act as the external weathering envelope to resist the elements. The project really demonstrates the flexibility of a PIR composite panel.
